Our ultimate directory of Windows PC executables.If you use Windows Store apps, many of them are UWP apps, and ApplicationFrameHost.exe (Application Frame Host) is an important process that should be running on your Windows PC to make these UWP apps function properly. The well known .exe is required for successful execution and management of UWP applications on Windows systems, so... without it, most UWP apps won't run.
We at SpyShelter in Austin, Texas aren't necessarily a fan of Windows Store apps, but if you're going to use UWP apps, you're going to need to have the ApplicationFrameHost.exe running on your PC. As long as ApplicationFrameHost.exe is signed by Microsoft, then it's a safe process, and should be normal to find running in your Windows Task Manager.

The publisher of an executable is the entity responsible for its distribution and authenticity. Most processes/executables on your PC should be signed. The signature on the executable should have been verified through a third party whose job it is to make sure the entity is who it says it is. Find an unsigned executable? You should consider scanning any completely unsigned .exe on your PC.
