Our ultimate directory of Windows PC executables.wlcomm.exe is the main executable for the Windows Live Communications Platform, a component of Microsoft's now-discontinued Windows Live Essentials suite. It was primarily used to manage contact synchronization and communication features for applications like Windows Live Messenger and Windows Live Mail.
You might have this file on your PC if you previously installed Windows Live Essentials or any of its components. Even if you no longer use these applications, remnants like wlcomm.exe can remain on your system. If you're not utilizing any Windows Live services, you can remove the associated programs through the Control Panel to free up system resources.

The signature on the executable should have been verified through a third party whose job it is to make sure the entity is who it says it is. Find an unsigned executable? You should consider scanning any completely unsigned .exe on your PC.
