Our ultimate directory of Windows PC executables.RegAsm.exe, or the Microsoft .NET Assembly Registration Utility, is a tool provided by Microsoft to register .NET assemblies for use with COM (Component Object Model) applications. It reads metadata within a .NET assembly and creates the necessary registry entries for making the assembly accessible to native COM clients, bridging the gap between .NET and legacy COM technologies. By generating and registering a type library for the assembly, RegAsm.exe allows COM-based applications to interact with .NET classes/methods as if they were native COM components. It can also unregister assemblies from the registry when they are no longer needed.

The publisher of an executable is the entity responsible for its distribution and authenticity. Most processes/executables on your PC should be signed. The signature on the executable should have been verified through a third party whose job it is to make sure the entity is who it says it is. Find an unsigned executable? You should consider scanning any completely unsigned .exe on your PC.
