Our ultimate directory of Windows PC executables.aitstatic.exe is a legitimate executable file developed by Microsoft itself that runs in Windows.
When researching this executable I found on the Microsoft website "the Microsoft Application Impact Telemetry Agent is installed with Windows and runs as a scheduled task when Windows boots. Application Impact Telemetry Agent is designed to collect various system information and report to Microsoft as part of Windows Customer Experience Improvement Program (CEIP). CEIP collects information about how our customers use Microsoft programs and about some of the problems they encounter."
Another thing I noticed is that if you go to Windows Settings/Apps/Startup (search "startup" in Windows search to find this) you'll also see the language "impact" here. I think this .exe is probably related to letting users know the impact different startup executables will have with their PC.
Below are 4 simple steps you can take to see if the aitstatic.exe process is safe or malware.

The publisher of an executable is the entity responsible for its distribution and authenticity. Most processes/executables on your PC should be signed. The signature on the executable should have been verified through a third party whose job it is to make sure the entity is who it says it is. Find an unsigned executable? You should consider scanning any completely unsigned .exe on your PC.
