Our ultimate directory of Windows PC executables.ATP_Reg.exe from ASUSTek Computer Inc. is a small support utility used by ASUS system/driver packages, specifically tied to ASUS touchpad and input driver installations. It’s used to register or unregister input filter drivers and related components in the Windows registry as part of driver setup or maintenance for ASUS hardware features.
You might have it because your PC is an ASUS laptop or motherboard system and you installed (or it came with) ASUS drivers or utilities such as Smart Gesture/touchpad support, and this helper runs during those installs to add the necessary registry entries for the hardware to work properly.

The publisher of an executable is the entity responsible for its distribution and authenticity. Most processes/executables on your PC should be signed. The signature on the executable should have been verified through a third party whose job it is to make sure the entity is who it says it is. Find an unsigned executable? You should consider scanning any completely unsigned .exe on your PC.
