The single very useful thing you can do when filing a bug report is to include a numbered list of actions that occurs the bug for you every time, for example like this:

1.) Start the application
2.) Click some option
3.) Choose action

Notice that not all errors are consistently reproducible, but if your bug is reproducible, and can be reduced to a series of steps like this, it's as good as fixed in reasonable time usual in next release version. Please describe the problem you have encountered in detail and be specific, but try to reduce the problem to the possible smallest number of steps you can. Good practice is to include results you expected and actual results after your list of actions.
